Teoretický vhled do problematiky výtvarné výchovy. Okruhy dílčích témat zastřešují témata dětský výtvarný projev, koncepce kreslení a výtvarné výchovy, proces výtvarné výchovy, teorie a didaktika výtvarné výchovy.

- prokazuje schopnost interpretace dětského výtvarného projevu z různých pedagogických hledisek, zejména z hlediska zvládání výtvarného výrazu,
- prokazuje ontodidaktickou znalost obsahu a schopnost jeho transformace
- je schopen koncipovat program vyučovací ch jednotky výtvarné výchovy s ohledem na kontext cílů předmětu a další kontexty, především s ohledem na kontext TVP, ŠVP a RVP,
- projevuje schopnost reflexe a sebereflexe, závěry z reflexe je schopen verbálně formulovat a vyjádřit v písemné formě.
